Got a Cute Baby? Want to Help the Alliance?

Crowdsourcing time! The Alliance is seeking video clips of cute babies - your babies! The babies (or toddlers) can be playing, interacting with you, playing with a sibling, eating - anything, really. We would like to compile all the videos we receive into a video to help with our ongoing fundraising efforts, both by email and on social media. If you have a clip (30 seconds or less) you would like to send, please contact Jessica at [email protected] and she will help arrange the clip "delivery."

Unaffiliated Voters: Register With a Party if You Want to Vote August 14!

August 8th deadline to register online to vote in the primary election. Both major parties will hold primary elections on Tuesday August 14th to choose candidates for Governor and other constitutional offices as well as candidates for the state legislature in some districts. Only voters registered with a party can vote in the primary election. You can check to see if you are registered to vote and whether you selected a party here. To change your registration so that you can vote in the primary click here. In step 2 select change registration then check the party enrollment change. You can change from unaffiliated to a party up until 5 days before the primary. However, if you were registered with a party, the deadline to change your registration to vote in a different party’s primary was in May. Remember, kids can’t vote, so we have to vote for them.

The End of an Era...

It's bittersweet to announce this news. Samantha Dynowski, who has been the glue of the CT Early 

Childhood Alliance for the past 10 years, has taken a new position as State Director of the CT Chapter of the Sierra Club. Sam joined the Alliance in 2008, and has seen the organization through four executive director changes, an office move, and many legislative victories through the years. Sam's last day at the Alliance is July 27. We wish Sam the best in this new endeavor, but we will miss her so very much. Thank you for devoting so much time and effort to Connecticut's young children, Sam.
