EPSDT Education for Providers and Advocates Webinar

Please consider joining a joint webinar hosted by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Georgetown Center for Children and Families designed to provide detailed information to the child health community about Medicaid’s Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) benefit, the comprehensive and guaranteed benefit for all children enrolled in the Medicaid program. This activity has been approved for 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Despite its longevity as a foundational element of Medicaid, EPSDT's full breadth and depth is often misunderstood. This webinar will identify EPSDT’s history and structure, discuss the role of the federal government and states in the provision of the benefit, and provide examples of services guaranteed to children in Medicaid.

"Choose Wonder:" One-Day Early Childhood Conference 

A professional development opportunity is available through a one-day conference, hosted by the Gessell Institute. "Choose Wonder" will include workshops and keynote speaker Dr. Kathryn Hirsch-Pasek, author of "Becoming Brilliant: What Science Tells Us About Raising Successful Children."  The conference is July 20, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Yale School of Medicine's Donald J.
