News Regarding Children's Oral Health

(From COHI) DSS, in response to the Fiscal Year 2017 State Budget passed by the Connecticut General Assembly, previously announced reductions in pediatric dental reimbursement rates that were scheduled to go into effect on July 1, 2016.  The proposed 5% rate reduction to the children's dental fee schedule was postponed until September 1, 2016 due to feedback from dentists, pediatricians, other oral health constituents and consumers. The children's dental fee schedule will be reduced  by 2% on September 1, 2016 with the other 3% will be made up with specific policy and fee changes effective August 1, 2016.  The Adult Reimbursement Rate will NOT change.

Please send written comments to Ginny Mahoney and Dr. Donna Balaski at DSS by August 25, 2016 and tell them how the 2% rate reduction will impact you, children you know, your practice!  A letter/email template and a fact sheet are available to assist you.

If you have any questions, please contact COHI by email or call 860-246-2644. COHI would appreciate receiving a copy of your email or notification that you sent one.
