Shelly Flynn, the early childhood coordinator for Colchester Public Schools, write a timely column to the Norwich Bulletin about what Colchester is doing to meet the needs of its young children. The column, which coincided with Week of the Young Child, comes from a Graustein Discovery Community.
The Norwich Bulletin covered the Children First Norwich Touch-a-Truck event, which was held in conjunction with Week of the Young Child. The Alliance helped coordinate press coverage of the event.

The Alliance submitted a write-up and photo to the New Haven Independent on events hosted throughout the city during the Week of the Young Child. The online paper posted the information to its Web site on April 22 under Citizen Contributions.
The Alliance sent a submission on behalf of the New Britain YWCA, which celebrated Week of the Young Child with a variety of events, including a hat parade, carnival, sing-a-along and Mayor Stewart came in to read to the children. The I-Towns article posted on April 21.
