The Alliance's seventh story with CT Public News Service, Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition's Barbara Edinberg discussed the findings of the 2010 BCAC "State of the Child" report, which found the city is failing 15 of 21 indicators for children.

Its 25 anniversary report shows that while some gains have been made between Bridgeport's children and the state as a whole, the city failed 15 of 21 indicators on the well-being of the city's children.

CT Mirror reporter Jacqueline Rabe attended two gubernatorial forums the Alliance held on Oct. 7 and Oct. 12 with GOP candidate Tom Foley and Democratic candidate Dan Malloy, respectively. Both articles are attached here.

The Alliance's sixth story with CT Public News Service, this one is on the I Care About Kids campaign. CT Parent Power's Paul Wessel was interviewed for the piece, which was distributed on Monday, Sept. 27.

Seven preschool-age girls sat on a colorful rug in front of teacher Meg Rarey, who was reading a story about apples on Aug. 11. The girls listened, but had a tough time containing their excitement, as the minutes inched closer and closer to their field trip to Lyman Orchards in Middlefield.
