Payment Incentives

Child care programs meeting the standards set by state or national accrediting agencies recognized by the commissioner shall be entitled to a payment incentive from Care 4 Kids as long as they maintain their accreditation.  The recognized types of accreditation’s are:

Center Based – 25%

  • NAEYC – National Association for the Education of Young Children www.naeyc.org
  • COA – Council on Accreditation www.coanet.org
  • NEASC – New England Association of Schools and Colleges. www.neasc.org

Home Based

Accreditation – 12.5%

  • NAFCC – National Association for Family Child Care. Increased from 7% to 12.5% effective July 1, 2023. www.nafcc.org

Associate’s Degree – 3%

  • Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.  3% increase effective July 1, 2019.
