Abstract:
Alliance co-chair Merrill Gay, director of the New Britain Early Childhood Collaborative, organized a march to the school board meeting on April 11, 2011, to protest cuts the board has proposed to close an anticipated budget shortfall. New Britain families met to make signs and march to the meeting together. Media coverage included WFSB Channel 3, NBC CT, Hartford Courant and New Britain Herald.
