Abstract:
Effective Jan. 6, Deputy Education Commissioner George Coleman was named Interim Education Commissioner after the resignation of Dr. Mark McQuillan. Should he be asked to put his name forward for the permanent position, Coleman said he would. But if not, he will continue his support role, especially on issues like racial equality and early childhood education.
