Whereas child care can easily become a family's largest expense, and
Whereas the average for infant/toddler care costs more than tuition in the state university system,
Therefore, we the undersigned, call on our Senators and Members of Congress to double the discretionary appropriations for the Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG). CCDBG helps fund Connecticut's Care4Kids program. The increase could add $18 million in federal funds to the state program.
